The Sunday Scan

A day late! Here are some photos of myself when I was in my Foundation Year at KCAI. It was 1982 probably. This workshop was Modular Units. The objective was to make modular unit clothing using nothing but paper. We could use no attaching devices - i.e. no tape, no string etc. Just paper. It was quite fun and quite challenging. One of my items was of course, a costume for dancing. It made a great sound when shimmying.

I also made a paper shawl which was put up for display in the local department store. That was fun.

Yesterday I attended for the first time a historical dance class at the Historical Dance Academy. It was entirely spur of the moment. Accept for the grumpy git who yelled at me because I didn't know what I was doing, it was fun! It seemed everyone else in class was interested in me and very encouraging. If I decide to get involved in this, I will probably need to make myself some costumes for the balls that they host.

Different than the above costume no doubt!

or better, great task, cool result!
That is one sensational outfit. I think it's just what the historical society needs for costumes!

So how the heck did you keep it from falling down if you couldn't use tape etc...

How cool is that?! I love the paper outfit! And best of luck with your dance endeavor - it sounds like a lot of fun.

I'm glad I found your blog. I'm having fun perusing this morning. Magnus sounds like such a charmer.
