Birthday present
I made these little clothes for a friends little girl. I thought they turned out quite sweet. They are all from a vintage doll pattern from the 1950's that belonged to my mother. She made all the doll clothes for my sisters and my dolls.
One year when I was back home visiting Mum, I went through all her patterns that have been stashed away in the basement. I categorized them into lovely containers and then when all was said and done, unbeknown to Mum, I popped a few in my luggage to come back with me to Australia. Mum isn't all that keen on things leaving home (her children or her/their things!) I can understand that. Still, I wanted those patterns. She hasn't looked at them in YEARS. I hope she'd be proud that I'm actually using them. I don't know if I will tell her though!

Also, I am in awe of your strength and courage in having children and how difficult it has been for you and your husband. I wish you all the best.
Thank you for your comments about our children. Sometimes I can't believe that we have this lovely, charming little boy who also kicks my butt with his behaviour. He really mixes it up for us and that is so welcome after our painful journey, even if sometimes I don't know how to handle him!
I really enjoy your blog.
Cheers,
Karin
