Lunch time
The bubster: I'm hundry (hungry)! Is it morning tea time, is it lunch time yet??
Me: It's lunch time, mate.
Bubster: Well I want a sandwich! A ham sandwich. With mayonnaise. And butter.
Me: Ok!
Bubster: Is it ham? I want ham. And mayonnaise.
A moment passes.........
Bubster: And butter. Don't forget the butter.
Me: I won't, mate. I heard you.
Bubster: Are you putting on the mayonnaise now?
Me (sigh): Yes. I am.
Bubster: And the butter? Don't forget the butter!
Me (sigh sigh): I won't, mate. I'm remembering.
Bubster: It's a HAM sandwich right? With mayonnaise??
Me: sigh.......
Bubster: And butter of 'tourse (course)??
Me: Of course!
Bubster: Ok good. That's what I want.
Me: I know!
(I mean I really really know!! Really!)
Bubster: Oh! And I want the 'trusts (crusts) cut off. Ok mommy?
Me: Of course.
Pause.
Me: Anything else??
Bubster: Oh no! This is good!
Proceeds to eat it all up, every crumb.
Bubster: I want another one! With Ham! And mayonnaise! And butter of 'tourse!
Me: sigh......................
Me: It's lunch time, mate.
