In praise of sticks
The bubster and his stick hut. Age 3 - 2008
The Hubster and I enjoy a date morning most weeks. On many a Wednesday morning, you will find us in the comfy chairs at Borders bookstore, sipping our latte's and perusing the magazines. (or working if you are the Hubster)
This week I had a look at American Craft Magazine. One of the feature articles was on the work of Gyongy Laky. Wow! Wow again! I'm in love!
A quote: "Twigs are among the most beautiful linear elements in existence." Gyongy Laky.
The bubster understands this well. Every day provides him with the opportunity to explore, examine and arrange sticks. He loves sticks. And I love that he loves sticks. It's so cool to be able to watch someone examine and explore!! Maybe this is how Gyongy Laky got started. :-)
