Meet my new sewing machine

She's my first Australian sewing machine. She's a Brother BC2500. I've been using my US machines for the last 12 years with a transformer. It was time for an upgrade, especially as she was half price! I'm excited but also a little anxious. Something new!!

So, what should I call her? Hm............

I am still using my Mum's 47 year old Singer. She has given me her newer model, but I just love the old one... it sounds so nice (ok, I know you think I'm crazy!)

Not crazy! I used to have a 1960's Viking. I loved that thing - the look and the feel of it. And the sound too. LOL It was my mums too. :-)

SNAP - we have exactly the same machine! I love mine that I got on sale too. I have sewn quite a few hours on it so far and touch wood - never a problem
