Talma Wrap from Truly Victorian Patterns
My weekend has been taken up with some historic sewing. I've been participating in a Victorian sewing weekend with Lynne Cook, president of the Australian Costumers Guild. We are making Talma Wraps which are cape like outer garments from the 1870's. Mine will look fetching over my 1873 bustle. I just need to figure out the trimmings. I was also considering doing some applique but am unsure of what would be historically accurate.
I can't wait to wear my wrap to pick up a few things at the grocery store!
